To be or not to be, that is the question, to be a solo kid or for the country?

Recently a news article about a footballer who has singapore citizenship, a google search I found a 20 page forum talking about it.

Some comments are like, Davis part 2, interesting as it seems but it is the same outcome, a person who decides to follow his dreams.

The funny thing is that some people are talking about his case to be a case by case basis. Some are saying that he should be dealt with harshly.

What should be done is that he is not the next son heung-min, nobody is above the law. Son heung-min by a similar age would be very talented. Many more points can be talking point, if you are detailed enough, that is for the keyboard warriors or trolls to dig.

We are an island state, we are not Korea. One very important point, you choose your path, you must pay the price. 

It is highly unlikely we are able to accommodate a son heung-min, a Joseph schooling has brought us glory, he is a miracle. Just like are we able to get a asian game gold or even sea games gold, I have written about this before, the answer is clear.

A thing about Joseph, his parents has put in lots of effort, money, time, which normal parents might never even able to come close too with, his parents are extraordinary. With football, you have only one shot.

This scenario might be occuring more often that people realise, because of globalisation but key thing is that Singapore football is not improving and staying the same. 

Anyway other countries in south east Asia will also experience some tough times, Myanmar is also having a hard time, I just hope football in this region will be able to go the world cup, males that is, at least the good news is that the management of all countries are able to come a understanding and align our sports with the olympic selection, that is good news.

In the end, football is a sport but also a business, that should be known to everyone by now, you are at the mercy of the owner or money, never it is going back to the original state, stay safe and take care of your health, that is key.

News or no news

In Singapore sports, there have been many news to read up, but it is always up to the sport itself to decide good or bad.

What is important for me is that the sport has progress into a better shape compared to before, change can only be achieve through competition.

In Singapore perhaps where that point is lacking, not many people are stepping up, many have spoken up but rarely any action is taken, I have said it many times.

Personally, maybe I try to pickup a new sport or activity and see for myself, that is a good direction.

Hidilyn Diaz won gold in the Olympics

Hidilyn Diaz that is a name you should know now, she won gold for her country. 

The funny thing is that she is a weightlifter from the Philippines. 

Singapore used to have weightlifting medals but the man is long forgotten, mister tan howe liang.

I still or must have written about the boxers from the Philippines, I still remember one boxer training under the sun with rain but with walls around him but no roof.

That is why they achieve greatness and gold, singapore is unlikely to have that spirit, we can only depend on Joseph schooling for medals.

Sometimes I wonder, no need for who what where when why, but are Singaporeans lacking spirit, that might be just the answer.

Asian World Cup games and euro comments

The usual games for the asian World Cup has started again, Korea and Iran are the ones that are winning.

The interesting one is the game of Malaysia and Vietnam, the penalty given for the second goal, that is funny, till now still no reviewing.

For the euros, I watch the full game between England and Croatia, a good game, but England has a bright spark, slightly more creative therefore winning the game.

More football please, not the usually winner and losers, maybe England to win the euros, we are still at the group stage, many will still be warming up. 

After match day 3, we will have a better view of things, I will like to see more goals if possible, more sports events please, I hope to see olympic football also.

A recent article about the new project, I did not read up much, but I just watch a league match last night, nothing much has improved, the old is still good, the new is still nothing.

This show with raft Ali has shown a lot of insight about the singapore football scene, the link is shown below.

It shows that the youth system has failed in singapore, we have let the players who were interested in this sport down.

Many have given up or lost hope, but some manage to pull their power and got to into the first eleven of the team.

One question that must be answered, has the youth really been that bad, or is the whole system that is just wrong. 

For sure the system or community or sphere whatever that is, is not suitable for growth in Singapore's context, who or what for that matter, sports.

It has been lost for many years, many have written including me, a recent post that I found out also says that.

Singapore is so small that most things cannot survive on their own without help, thus what is the next move?

Perhaps it is time to not just relook, like what I saw in a recent online post, either wholesome change or simply just put the money in more useful things, maybe even kayaking or the trend, esports.

We are small, just do what we can before we even compare ourselves with giants like Japan, Korea or even china, this includes the saudis or Jordanians. We cannot even win Thailand, is anyone awake or dreaming.

A goal without a plan is a dream.

Good progress or news in singapore football, good job geylang international

Geylang international football has done something good this year, every club should follow.

Which is the jersey, some may ask what jersey, a special, I have seen many, it is not just the jersey, the whole package, taking of the photo with sponsors, with the sponsors logo at the company.

That must be done, at all clubs, visiting the sponsors employees, giving out clubs merchandise and so on.

How many have done that, it should be standard for all seasons, all clubs, all players. Yes all on field players, the 11 with coach and manager leading the way.

It should be written in black and white and at the start or end or whenever the club has the time.

I have seen this at clubs not even at the top tier, in Thailand, I still remember the person in charge bringing in the jersey with a hamper, with models and taking them in person to the sponsors, thanking them for their support. We are not Japan, we are from south east Asia, we do it the south East Asian manner.

The Thai person I guess have more culture perhaps that is why, singapore is suppose to be a better country so to speak, I guess not.

A patriot, many people have been supporting the league, not many are left, perhaps it is time for wholesale change, I hope the change will be in a huge manner, if you fail to achieve success, leave and make way for change.

Football in singapore, head coach wants players to perform

In football, performance is key, if you do not even have the mindset, all is nothing more than talk.

He talks about, during the training session, he call up new talent to join but some players their attitude is good but they do not have competition.

No wonder not much has changed.

You can run very well but you have no place in the team. As simple as that.

One important thing is that, a certain black and white according to a set list and then you choose, all is release as news to the public, no bias to nothing, all written on paper, is that hard to achieve.

The run timing, the skill level of shooting, basic passing accuracy, all the requirements, for players to see that the selection is open for all, even for those not playing in the league. 

I want a person who is able to commit and push for his country, not for fame, rare in singapore now.

I remember a movie from china

For the new post this new year, after watching many movies, from romance to action, I spent some money into the industry for the economy to grow.

The movie i will like to talk about is I remember, it is a movie with angelababy and lee hongchi.

After watching, the movie shows a part of life, which is whereby some people work hard and are sincere but they are not able to achieve what they deserve. 

I think it is a similar story to one day from Thailand, a movie also. You can also watch the Thai version, it is the same in storyline but scenes are different in setting.
